Statement of Faith

The Trinity

We believe that there is one true, holy, eternal God, creator of all, who exists as one essence in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We affirm the deity of Jesus Christ, and believe He was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and was crucified, buried, and rose again on the 3rd day. We affirm the deity of the Holy Spirit who we believe is alive and active in our world and lives today. The Holy Spirit indwells believers and is our comforter and teacher.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the final authority for doctrine and practice for Christians as individuals and for the church as a whole.

Man

We believe that all of mankind came into existence through God’s direct creation and have been made in the image and likeness of God. We believe that, due to Adam’s original sin, mankind has inherited a sin nature that separates us from God.

salvation

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God through faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. We are made right with God through the blood of Jesus Christ when we accept God’s gift of salvation. Through Jesus we are justified once and for all. We are being continually sanctified, and will one day live eternally with God in glory.

the Church

We believe that the universal church, referred to as the body and bride of Christ, is made up of all believers. The church is to be an ambassador of God’s kingdom on the earth and has been given the mission of The Great Commission- to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.
